NAWBO set up these councils to allow more NAWBO members to see their value and utilize their business expertise to impact policy in D.C. The councils - taxes and regulations, workforce issues, technology, and government procurement and disparity studies - will allow our members who have business experience in those areas to share that experience on behalf of all women business owners by weighing in on proposed regulations and legislation. We are excited to set up this opportunity for NAWBO members to feel more engaged and empowered in the policy process. Most of the work will take place online so as to be respectful of all the time requests and commitments NAWBO members already balance.
